How Do I Get Started?
There are three steps to begin services:
- Walk-in Screening
- Financial Assessment
- Clinical Intake
Please note: These steps are also necessary for former clients who have been out of services for more than three months. Be sure to follow up with your caseworker or doctor at least once every three months. This step ensures insurance coverage and authorizations for services remain active.
1. Walk-In Screenings
- First Come/First Served
- Free of charge
- 15-45 minutes in length
- Conducted between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., Monday-Friday
- Held at our Plano Clinic: 3920 Alma Drive, Plano, TX 75023: 972-422-5939 and as needed at our McKinney clinic: 1416 N. Church Street, McKinney, TX
Please note: The screening includes information and enrollment coordination with the NorthSTAR program (the state’s mental health indigent assistance program) and requesting of necessary records. Referrals to appropriate community resources are also provided at this time.
2. Financial Assessments
- Free of charge
- 30 minutes in length
- For new clients: scheduled upon screening
- For existing clients: scheduled in the event of insurance or job change and/or routine annual updates that are required in your birth month in order to maintain
NorthSTAR insurance coverage
- Designed to provide us with the information needed to determine eligibility and payment options for you
3. Clinical Intakes
- The first treatment session to establish goals, obtain consent for services and create a treatment plan
- 1 hour in length
