Behavioral Health – How Do I Start Services

How Do I Start Services

If you want help for a mental health or substance use problem, you have found the right place.  Follow these quick and easy steps to get the help you need.

I have Insurance or Can Private Pay

Call 972-422-5939 or toll free at (844) 544-5939 – Request to Speak to an Insurance Verification Specialist

LifePath is a provider for multiple commercial insurance carriers, Medicaid Managed Care Programs, traditional Medicaid, Medicare, and Children’s Health Insurance Plans.  All individuals with these pay sources will be accepted into services as long as we can meet the needs of the individual and they do not require a higher level of care.  Call our insurance verification specialist to ensure we accept your plan, verify your copay/deductible, and schedule with a provider.

I Do Not Have Insurance or the Ability to Private Pay

Step One – Call 1-877-422-5939
This line is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.  It is used as both our initial screening and our crisis hotline.  Trained behavioral health professionals are standing by to assist you.  If it is determined that you need more immediate assistance, a Mobile Crisis Outreach Team will be sent to meet with you or your loved one to begin services immediately.  If it is determined that routine services are most appropriate, you will be directed to walk into one of our Open Access Clinics.

Step Two – Eligibility and Intake
Walk in availability for Eligibility and Intake sessions at either of our Open Access Clinics between 8am and 3pm Monday through Friday:

Plano Outpatient Clinic
7308 Alma Drive
Plano, TX 75025
972-422-5939 or (844) 544-5939

McKinney Outpatient Clinic
1515 Heritage Drive, Ste. 105
McKinney, TX 75069
972-562-9647

All individuals must bring proofs of income and residency.  Please see link for more information.

Step Three – Choose Your Provider

If you meet the clinical and financial eligibility requirements for State-Funded services, you may then proceed to the step of choosing a provider.  LifePath contracts with a number of behavioral health providers and is also a provider of services.  We will assist you in scheduling this appointment with your chosen provider.  We want to make sure you leave with an appointment for all of the services you need.

If you do not meet the requirements for State-Funded services or if we are at capacity for that level of care, LifePath Systems’ staff will provide referrals to other community resources as appropriate.
