Performs complex program administration work In the areas of quality improvement, quality management; contract compliance and contract management.  Work involves carrying out responsibilities as defined in the quality management plan, preparing reports for DADS, and internal management pursuant to DADS  contract compliance, credentialing activities, monitoring compliance of external providers, monitoring compliance of external providers, Medicaid and other program planning, Medicaid and other policy development, Medicaid and other interagency coordination duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned

Ability to perform quality improvement activities as described in the quality improvement plan and DADS contract to facilitate the continuous improvement of services and outcomes for people with mental retardation.  Ability to perform quality management tasks as described in the DADS contract and HCS principles and as otherwise assigned to assure contract and standards compliance.  Ability to perform contract management activities in the areas of credentialing.   Ability to read, analyze and interpret professional and clinical documents, financial reports and legal documents.  Ability to respond to common inquires or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies or the community.  Ability to write clearly and concisely.  Ability to present verbal information effectively to all levels of agency staff, consumers and the community.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Special Education or related field; 4-6 years of experience in services to persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities: or equivalent education and experience.   Moderate proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Access.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Must have a valid Texas Driver’s license.
