SUMMARY

Performs routine social services work to individuals with mental illness under moderate supervision with limited latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. As part of the treatment team, this position assists adults with Severe Mental Illness and children & adolescents with Severe Emotional Disturbance in the recovery process to manage the symptoms and behaviors that are disrupting daily routines.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Possess knowledge of the social services system and have the ability to connect clients with appropriate services;
  • Provide service coordination, skills training, and symptom management services
  • Complete detailed, yet concise progress notes on all services provided;
  • Requires the ability to write clearly and professionally;
  • Have the ability to think clearly and logically in order to deal with potentially dangerous and/or emotional situations.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

This position requires a Master’s degree (M. A.) in counseling, social work or related field.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Licensed as LPC or LCSW preferred
