SUMMARY This position is in an outpatient Mental Health Clinic and performs moderately complex Screenings and Intakes. The position works under general supervision with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collect data for initial assessments along with collecting data for Utilization and Quality Management.
  • Work involves triaging, determining eligibility, verifying insurance, enrolling clients with MCOs, making referrals, scheduling client appointments and performing the initial diagnostic assessment.
  • Process all related paperwork and assessments according to internal procedures;
  • Process all Intake Screenings according to internal procedures;
  • Obtain clinical paperwork from discharging facility prior to scheduling of appointment;
  • Provide back up for AC requests as needed according to internal procedures.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Master’s degree (M.A.) or equivalent two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

  • Must be a Licensed Professional of the Healing Arts (Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, or Licensed marriage and Family Therapist).
  • Must have a valid Texas Drivers License.
