Responsibilities include: greeting clients, appointment scheduling, answering multi-line phone system, reminder calls, enrollment activities for the NorthSTAR indigent program, verifying insurance, collecting co-payments, dispersing mail and lobby maintenance.  Works under moderate supervision with limited latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

This role is a key team-player position in a constantly busy environment that requires accuracy, attention to details, initiative and a pro-active approach to duties and responsibilities while working with clients, clinical team and co-workers. The qualified applicant must demonstrate a positive attitude, considerable latitude for independent judgment, professional ethics, appearance and conduct.  Must have medical billing experience and PREFER bilingual (English/Spanish).

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.  Must have good communication skills, well organized, self-starter and be able to work well in timely manner.  Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Scheduling Software and basic computer operational skills is a plus.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED); 1 year + medical billing experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Must have a valid Texas Drivers License and a good driving record
